Ionic: Comes from the the word ion, which is a single atom or a group of atoms which carries an electrical charge, which is either positive or negative. The positive ions are called cations and the negative ions are called anions.

Anions: Negatively charged atoms, radicals or groups of atoms which travel to the anode or positive pole during electrolysis.

Cations: Postively charged atoms, radicals or groups of atoms which travel to the cathode or negative pole during electrolysis.

Water Soluble: Capable of being dissolved in water. Water-soluble compounds are easily excreted by the body.

Absorbability: The secret for absorbability is the size of the elements. They are so small that you cannot see them under a microscope and some of the tests involve heat which destroys some elements. I am more inclined to using the word "Monatomic" because many of the elements are considered "Monatomic" but not all of them are so we cannot use the term.
