Plastic Bottles...Get The Facts Not The Hype! What about Plastic Bottles...Are they dangerous and toxic? Our Plastic bottles are:
Demonstrating the Safety of PETE through Scientific Testing: Polyethylene terephthalate, or PET, has become the plastic packaging of choice for many food products, particularly beverages like bottled water and carbonated soft drinks. This is due in part to its inherent properties that are well suited for lightweight, large-capacity and shatter-resistant containers. Like any indirect food additive, the scientific testing of PETE is based on two key principles: establishing that there is a minimal amount of transfer of substances between the plastic packaging and the food and establishing that any substances that may transfer from the plastic to the food do not pose a risk to human health. Plastic Bottle Material Code system The symbols consists of a triangle formed by three "chasing arrows", with a specific number in the center that indicates the material from which the bottle is made. Active Liquid Wellness uses the safest one which is PETE (#1) The number/material equivalents are: 1 type plastics are made of PETE, 2 and 4 type plastics are made of Polyethylene, 3 type plastics are Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), 5 type plastics are made of Polypropylene, 6 type plastics are made of Polystyrene (PS) and 7 type plastics can be made of a variety of things, such as polycarbonates (some with Bisphenol A), multi-layer structures, etc. Some numbers are not available to the general public in some areas due to local laws and concerns, 3 and 6 type plastics being the most common. ACTIVE LIQUID WELLNESS USE'S #1 BOTTLES. |
